Practicality is one of the major factors in the development of the General Education English courses at MCU. Currently, the English textbooks used in the courses are developed by the Teaching Material Committee. The series is a compilation of reading, oral and written exercises to strengthen our students’ English proficiency. In addition, the center developed and offers other English-learning supplements such as CD, DVD and online digital materials. Moreover, the ELC offers various English-related learning programs such as the Advanced Applied English Program, English Peer Tutoring Program, Reading Enrichment Program, Remedial English classes, English Self-Learning Online Resources, and the administration and registration for TOEIC tests. The ELC occasionally offers English-related contests such as the Movie Dubbing Contest, the English Four-Column Comic Contest and English speech contests, seminars, workshops and other fun activities.
